My elementary and middle school experiences were positive at the very least. The most influential teacher for me in the elementary school was my music teacher. She knew I loved music, but understood that I had to keep it cool because some of my closest friends through music was not cool. I believe that she is still teaching at the same elementary school I went to. Things in elementary and middles school that I learned that had a lasting influence were more about ways to act; compared to information gained. Middle School can be the forgotten years for many, but for me I remember middle school as a time of being in teams and having a locker. I remember starting to acquire a deeper understanding for algebraic expressions, and how to take notes in an outline fashion.
